gradient map tutorial
This is a handy way of getting a photographic
image to have a gradient effect, whereby you can specify the
exact colors you would like the image to appear in. This is
useful if you want to have the image blend in with a specific
hex color
value. Basically, you can specify the foreground and background
color you would like to blend the image with. You can also
create new gradients, and have the image blended between more
than two colors.
Open your image in Photoshop:

Select the foreground and background colors:

Go to Image > Adjust > Gradient Map:

Your resulting image will look something like this:

You can also select "Reverse" from the Gradient
Map pop up box to achieve this effect:
